ECG at home

A paramedic or a doctor records a 12-lead ECG at your home or hotel, interprets it and explains the result; the printout stays with you. If a heart attack or a dangerous arrhythmia is suspected — a troponin test, treatment on the spot and admission to a cardiology unit.

Questions

Who interprets the ECG?

A doctor interprets it on the spot; a paramedic interprets it or sends the trace to the doctor at the station. The result is given verbally — the ambulance does not issue written reports.

Do you issue a written ECG report?

No. You keep the ECG printout; a written report for a certificate or a surgery is issued by a cardiologist at a clinic — our printout can be used for that.
