How much a private ambulance costs and what you pay for

The price of a private ambulance call is not one figure but four parts: the call-out, the procedures, the transport and, outside the ring road, the mileage. An honest service names every part before the crew leaves. Here is the breakdown on our own price list, so you can read any provider’s bill.

What to do right now

  1. Call-out

Standard crew inside the MKAD — 6,000 ₽, including examination, diagnosis and advice. In the Yuzhnoportovy and Danilovsky districts, next to our station — 3,500 ₽. Specialised or ICU crew — 15,000 ₽.

  2. Procedures and drugs

Only with your consent: ECG 8,000 ₽, injection from 2,000 ₽, infusion from 7,000 ₽ per 30 minutes, oxygen and so on. The full list is on the prices page.

  3. Transport

Inside the MKAD — 6,000 ₽ per each started 30 minutes. Beyond the MKAD time is not counted, only mileage at 200 ₽ per kilometre both ways. Stretcher carrying — 1,000 ₽ per floor.

  4. Waiting

At the hospital admissions the first 15 minutes are free, then 10,000 ₽ per 30 minutes — rare, but you are told about it honestly.

  5. Intercity

Outside the Moscow Region — 150 ₽ per kilometre with a standard crew or 200 ₽ with an ICU ambulance, both ways, plus the call-out. The calculator gives the figure in advance.

Call an ambulance if

  • A simple home visit with examination and an injection inside the MKAD — about 8,000–10,000 ₽
  • A visit with ECG and a drip — 20,000–25,000 ₽
  • Hospital admission within the city with stretchers — 13,000–20,000 ₽
  • ICU ambulance with transport — from 21,000 ₽
  • A call to Khimki or Mytishchi — call-out plus 2,000–4,000 ₽ of mileage

What not to do

  • Do not agree to a visit if the dispatcher will not quote the call-out price
  • Do not sign a contract with the amount left blank
  • Do not pay cash without a receipt
  • Do not believe "all inclusive for 3,000 ₽" — no licensed service works that way

What the crew does

  • The dispatcher quotes the call-out price before the crew departs
  • Every procedure is agreed with you, with its price
  • Contract and receipt on the spot; payment after the service
  • Calls are recorded, so the price cannot change afterwards

Questions

Why do some services charge 3,000 ₽ and others 6,000 ₽ for a call-out?

A cheap call-out is usually offset by expensive procedures or compulsory "diagnostics". Compare the total for a typical visit, not the call-out line.

Can I pay by card?

By a Russian bank card, by SBP transfer or in cash with a receipt. Foreign Visa and Mastercard do not work in Russia.

What if the crew turns out not to be needed?

Cancel before departure and nothing is charged. If the crew is already on the way, a compensation fee applies under the contract — less than the full call-out.
